This is an example of a house we bought in the Ingleside area of Macon, Georgia. The house was inherited by an out-of-state owner and had tenant, access, and repair problems that made it difficult to deal with from a distance.

We do not publish exact addresses out of respect for prior sellers and current occupants, but this is a real house we bought, renovated, and still own as part of our local rental portfolio.

The Situation

We bought this house in 2012. The owner had inherited the property and lived out of state, which made it hard for them to manage the house or deal with the problems directly.

The house had a non-paying tenant, access to the property was difficult, and the air conditioner was not working. This was not a simple situation where the owner could easily clean up the house, make repairs, and list it for sale.
